Martindales showed early speed but lost time in the pits with dirt in the fuel system, a similar problem hitting the front-running Honeywell car.

Racecar.com and SSJ battled for second with SSJ taking the spot with just minutes to go – only for the gear-linkage to come adrift and leave them stuck in 5th and cruising to the finish as a grateful Racecar.com raced past.

SsangYong slipped back to 4th after also being hit by dirt in the fuel with the Team Hyside lads coming in 5th – a fantastic achievement for two drivers in their first ever race, in a car they had never even driven before. Well done!

So Beetlejuice took their maiden win scoring a first for the camera car too. It was the first time that father and son had raced together with no other drivers. SSJ made it onto the podium for the first time also – grabbing a lap record 1.26.142 fastest lap in the process.
